Verizon has some pretty good deals on some now, or soon to be discontinued smartphones on offer. There’s others to be sure, but here’s a few phones from Verizon you can currently get without any cost on a 2 year contract:

The Motorola Droid Maxx was released in July 2013  so we’re probably  due for a refresh on the entire Motorola droid lineup pretty soon but don’t let that dissuade you from the Maxx. It has the best battery life of any smartphone, innovative technology like Active Assist, 32GB of RAM and a 720p 5 inch display. It’s  a pretty nice phone and it’s currently my daily daily driver.

The LG G2 offers a faster processor, a slightly bigger display at 5.2 inches and a fast quad core processor. You’ll either love or hate the buttons on the back of the phone though that makes the LGG2 the only phone on sale today to feature this design

I really can’t see the Samsung S4 Mini as much of a deal due to the fact, that I think the other phones offer a much better deal but if you’re in the market for a small free android phone this might fit the bill for you.

Lastly, the Apple iPhone 4S is free, but unless you really need a cheap Apple iPhone I would pass on this one – it’s over 2 generations old (and close to 3 with the release of the Apple iPhone 6 that’s rumored). The 4s is slow, only offers 3G data speeds and only offers 8GB of  storage space.

But if you need a free iPhone from Verizon, this will fit the bill, but you’re better off waiting for a while and  you might be able to get a free Apple 5C pretty soon once the Apple iPhone 6 gets released later this year.

Now is a great time to get into a phone deal as now’s the time that new models usually get released so if you’ve been waiting for some nice free Verizon phones, these are a great deal.
