Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2015 will be days of strong sales both in physical stores and online. Analysts suggest that in 2015 stores will have significantly more sales, compared to previous years.
Steve Barker, vice president of market research firm NPD Group, said in a statement that sales of the week of Thanksgiving Day exceed last year’s results. Expected special excitement in the segment of television and devices of the most popular categories in physical stores.
Barker said that the TV sales will be the best in years, with the expectation of a growth of around 5 percent year on year.
According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), an organization of the retail industry, 135.8 million people will buy products these days, both in stores and online. For comparison, in the past year 133.7 million people made purchases.
“The shops have given consumers many good reasons to start their Christmas shopping earlier this year,” said Matthew Shay, CEO of NRF.
According to the organization, the strongest sales will be on Black Friday, which falls on November 27 this year.
And according to a survey by the nonprofit organization Consumer Reports, it is expected to increase by 31 percent the number of weekend shoppers on Black Friday compared to last year. The organization says that more people will shop online, but over the weekend will be a demand for the products in physical stores.
According to the organization, 44 percent of consumers will be looking for small electronics such as tablets or phones, and 38 percent will buy larger electronics such as televisions and computers.
Finally, the research firm comScore predicts up from the sales of 2014, with growth of 14 percent to reach US $70.000 billion in online sales via mobile or desktop computers.
