Thanks to a tweet by Verizon Wireless, we know know that the wait for the Motorola Moto X at Verizon will soon come to and end later this week on August 29th. And, as the price states it will be $199.99 on contract or if you prefer to buy the Moto X with Verizon’s new edge program, your monthly payment over 24 months for the Moto X  will be in the  $25.o0 range. The Verizon Edge program allows you to upgrade your phone more often than every two years like a usual subsidized contract offers. There may be some Verizon Moto X deals in the near future too but if you can’t wait this is the good news for those wanting  to buy a Motorola Moto X on release date from Verizon.

The Verizon Moto X only comes in black or white. The custom colors available from motomaker.com are currently only available from AT&T. The customization feature for the Moto X is rumored to come to Verizon and other carriers later this year, but for the time being if you want a custom Moto X you will have to get it from AT&T.
