No, only Verizon sells the entire lineup of Droid models including the Droid Mini, Maxx and Ultra models. The Droid Mini features a 4.3 inch display, and newer features only found on the Droid lineup from Verizon including Active Notifications and Assist, and probably the biggest and most exclusive – the ability to ask the droid mini questions from across the room thanks to the touchless control feature where you activate the droid mini with the phrase “OK Google Now”, and the always listening technology will automatically parse your question and provide you with an answer hands-free. You can make calls, search google, check weather, send text messages and emails and create appointments all without having to touch your phone.
One phone that does offer these features from AT&T is the Motorola Moto X that was released August 23rd. The screen on the Moto X is a bit bigger at 4.7 inches vs 4.3 inches on the droid Mini but the MotoX still offers a relatively small footprint in some might say an attractive design. Also of note is the fact that the AT&T Moto X is customizeable via the motomaker.com website and is the only carrier in the US to offer this feature which allows you to customize your phone to your liking. If you’re in the market for a smaller phone from AT&T the Moto X might be your best option.
The Verizon Droid Mini is $99.99 on contract and the AT&T Moto X is $199.99. The cheaper phone is the droid mini from Verizon by $100 but if you’re limited to shopping for a phone that’s more easy to handle the Moto X – despite the higher price is one of the more compact smartphones sold by AT&T.
