Verizon is now shipping the Motorola Moto X as previously rumored. Today’s the first day for the much anticipated and discussed smartphone from Motorola that features Active Display, Motorola Assist and Touchless control as three of big differences between the Moto X and any smartphone available today (The Motorola Droids offer these 3 features too). A 4.7 inch display at 720p with Android 4.2.2. and Motorola 8 core technology for a fast and pretty much stock android experience.

Currently, the Moto X is only available via Verizon in Black and White but it’s rumored that you can and will be able to create your own Moto X via the Motomaker site later this fall.

The Moto X is $199 on contract and $25.22 a month with EDGE program or you can buy the Moto X outright at $599.99.
