Once just limited to select markets, Aio is now available nationwide for all wireless customers in the USA.
Aio Wireless offers 3 different no contract smartphone plans:
Basic phones can get into Aio for just $40.00 a month for unlimited talk and text and 250mb of data.
For smartphones, the cost is more and there’s two options for service from Aio for your smartphone. The first is unlimited talk, text and data for$55.00 a month and gets you 2GB of high speed data, after which the speed on your data is throttled down and the second option for smartphone plans from Aio is a $70.00 a month plan with 7GB of 4G LTE data before it gets throttled.
Need more data? Add data for just $10 per gb and it will be added to your plan. For example, add ten bucks to the $55.00 plan and you’ve now got 3GB of data before you get throttled.
International rates are pretty good with Aio too.$10.00 a month gets you unlimited text messaging, unlimited calling to landline numbers, and the ability to add this service for just one month if you want to try it before you commit.
All plans include taxes which is nice too so you will know exactly what you are paying every month with Aio as opposed to other carriers.
Aio Wireless Phone Selection
There’s a pretty good choice of phones to choose from if you need to buy a new phone to use with this service, or you can bring your own device and there’s even a handy form to fill out to find out if your current phone is compatible.
Smartphones start at under$50 for the ZTE Prelude and go up in price to $650.00 for an iPhone 5. $579.00 will get you a Samsung Galaxy s4 for Aio wireless and there’s some windows phones to choose from too. In another article I’ll go through every phone you can buy from Aio but there’s a phone for every budget with Aio.
Aio is AT&T’s prepaid service so coverage should be pretty good and AT&T has been aggressive lately when it comes to adding more LTE markets this year which only enhances the service of Aio wireless..
Third Month Free
Here’s something that no other carrier provides and that’s the fact that with Aio wireless you get the third month free. Not every third month free (that would be really sweet) but still, after 2 months as an Aio customer you get the third month on them. A nice touch.
Overall the Aio service seems to be a pretty good deal for a contract free and unlimited data plan thats at the most expensive option $70.00, this may be a good choice for those wanting to get into a new plan and pay less.
