Just released today, (and well rumored yesterday), Amazon now stocks these two lenses designed for use with NFC enabled smartphones.

Sony QX10

the Sony QX10 smarphone attachable lens/camera combination and with a street price of $248.00 this could be a fun little accessory for those wanting more flexibility than what a standard smartphone camera can offer. Attach this to your smartphone and you’ve transformed your phone into a 10x zoom digital camera, or you can even uncouple the lens from the phone and still take photos – offering flexibility in shooting angles you can’t get with any digital camera made today. The QX10 features a  18MP 1/2.3” Exmor R® CMOS sensor for excellent low light photography.

The QX10 is available for pre-order with a shipping date of Sept 27

Sony QX100

The big brother to the QX10, the QX100 offers DSLR quality with your smartphone with a 20 megapixel sensor and a brighter f/1.8 aperture and 3.6x zoom ratio on this lens. The QX100 costs twice as much as the QX10 ($248.00 vs $498.00) with the big difference between the two being the size of the sensor, the optics and the zoom ratio.

The QX100 is available for pre-order with a shipping date of September 27

I don’t know if I would pony up $500 for the QX100, but the QX10 looks like a one lens solution with flexible shooting angles for hobby photographers who don’t want to carry camera bodies but could slip one of these lenses in their pocket or bag.
