In addition to the funky new lenses for smartphones Sony announced today, the electronics company also announced the availability of their latest flagship smartphone: The Experia Z1 . This is another often rumored smartphone that has now finally come to be a reality today and offers an impressive feature set that will make this phone competitive with other premium phones such as the Samsung S4, HTC One and Apple iPhone.

Other fun stuff includes 60 days of Sony Unlimited music service, the ability to livestream to Facebook.

The glass front and back are trimmed with an aluminum case, and the entire package is admittedly very nice to look at.

The Sony Z1 looks to be a very good contender in the top tier smartphone lineup as we enter the fall of 2013 but has many others to compete with. No word on Carrier availablity but expect to see a release date in October for Sony’s latest flagship phone.
