It’s a tough decision when it comes to selecting the phone you will tend to live with for 2 years on Verizon, known for great service that other carriers can’t beat but they are not the cheapest smartphone plans on the market in 2013 but for some of us, Verizon is the only choice (For me, it’s due to the fact I travel in Canada and Verizon is the only carrier to offer affordable plans for calling to or while IN Canada – a feature every other carrier can’t match)

So that leaves me with having to choose what phones Verizon stocks. Until recently, the selection of smartphones worth buying from Verizon were essentially the Apple iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4. But, over the last month or so Verizon has really gotten their act together and have released many other top tier phones from which to choose, including the Droid series  (Ultra, Mini, Maxx), the Moto X (black and white only for now, sadly) and the HTC One and the  Apple and Samsung offerings.

But two of the best selling phones for 2013 on the Verizon network will be the Droid Maxx and the upcoming LG G2 that’s available on September 12 and they are both attractive choices.

Motorola Droid Maxx Features and Benefits

The Droid Maxx offers one thing that almost no other phone can offer and that’s battery life. The 3500 mAh battery is one of the biggest battery capacities you can buy in 2013 so if you need the battery life, this is the phone to buy. The Maxx is one of the phones currently shipping that also offer a close to stock android experience and one of the few that can offer the “OK google now”  touchless control, active notifications and motorola assist. For some,  when you combine the stock android, the always listening features and the close to stock android experience combined with fantastic battery life.
