Originally thought to be released later in the month, it now seems that Verizon has bumped the release date of the new 2013 Droid Mini up to tomorrow, August 22nd. After a drought of smartphone releases from Verizon it seems this week there’s loads of new smartphone choices from Verizon for the late summer and into the fall. Not only do we have the Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra which were available in stores yesterday, you’ve now got the Mini and the HTC ONE release date set for tomorrow too. This leaves us with many high performance smartphones to choose from by week’s end:

Samsung S4 – Best price: $119.00

Motorola Droid Mini – Best Price: $49.99

Motorola Droid Maxx – Best Price: $199.99

Motorola Droid Ultra – Best Price: $99.00

HTC One – Best Price: – $149.00

Upcoming is the Moto X (rumored to be next week or even later this week – AT&T stocks the Mini on the 23rd so it’s possible Verizon may follow suit) and the LG G2 which is rumored to have a September 12 release date. Then there’s the Note 3 announcement early September too to consider. If you’re in the market for a smartphone upgrade from Verizon it’s exciting times to choose a perfect phone for you.

That’s 5 new phones by the end of the week from Verizon, One released any day now (Moto X) and two in the not too distant future (LG G2, Note 3).

The Droid Mini features a 4.3 inch display, with Android 4.2 and up to 28 hours of talk time.
